imageThe Board of Inquiry is the MoD's internal fact finding expedition. Its primary aim is to investigate how a serious accident happened and make recommendations which will hopefully prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. It usually takes place quite soon after an accident but this can vary depending on the availability and location of witnesses.

A lot of military personnel do not realise that if they are involved either as a victim or witness to a serious injury and are required to give evidence at a Board of Inquiry, they are entitled by law to have legal representation.

We are able to represent our clients at this Inquiry provided we are instructed early enough. It is at this Inquiry that we are often able to obtain vital information. We are able to consider witnesses evidence and ask questions of them. It provides us with an early opportunity to be able to advise our clients on the prospects of success in their case.
