GYNECARE INTERGEL Adhesion Prevention Solution
Gynecare Intergel Adhesion Prevention Solution is a gel product that is used in some gynecological surgery to reduce post-surgical adhesions. Adhesions are abnormal bands of scar tissue that develop following operations and that can connect organs or tissues that should be normally be separate. Azathioprine (Imuran)
Alexander Harris are investigating links between the ill health suffered by some workers at a pharmaceutical company and exposure to the drug Azathioprine/Imuran. Many of those who have contacted Alexander Harris have been exposed to this drug on the packing line either through handling the tablets or from residue left behind from production processes. It is believed that the drug can cause illness in those handling it and that protective coatings are less then effective when the tablets become chipped or broken and dust is released.
