On September 26th 2000, 80 people tragically died when the Express Samina ferry hit rocks off the Aegean island of Paros. There were over 500 people on board many of them Britons. Investigations are still ongoing into how this tragedy occurred.
For those Briton's who returned, the events of that night when the ferry began to sink are, for many, a horrific story of survival. Many have been tormented by these memories ever since, suffering flashbacks and vivid recollections preventing them from continuing their normal lives.
The Personal Injury Team at Alexander Harris are acting for the UK Express Samina Survivor's Group in helping them to obtain compensation for their losses. This compensation will take the form of recovery for the many personal effects which were lost and for those who have suffered andwho continue to suffer severe post traumatic stress injury.
