This Fact Sheet is designed to provide local residents with help and guidance concerning some of the problems that have arisen due to Broomfield Tip on Bradley Lane in Standish.
We feel it is important to make you aware of the various organisations and people whom you may wish to contact. (Also, please do not hesitate to contact the group, if you would like to offer a helping hand!)
If you or a member of your family have consistently suffered nausea/sickness, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, tiredness/weakness, depression, dizziness, shortness of breath, bronchial & sinus/ear infections, sore throats & eyes, coughs and headaches - please ensure you consult your local GP for advice and to ensure that your health concerns are monitored and recorded.
If you feel relocation, Hepa Air Filters or draft proofing etc, would be beneficial to your family, or are currently experiencing difficulties - please contact one of the B T R Focus Group members or e-mail broomfieldtip@eddnet.com We will then try to help you resolve your problems and put you in contact with the relevant professional bodies.
As the Council's Newsletters are fairly infrequent, we feel the need to reiterate that you must still be vigilant in keeping your doors and windows closed when the wind is blowing towards your property. It is not advisable to be outdoors (including children playing) at these times, or in the close vicinity of the tip itself.

Write to them, voicing your concerns for better communication and understanding from the Council, in relation to the contractors working patterns, emissions and the length of time we have had to endure this nuisance and danger to our health etc - asking for their help & support etc, etc...
