It has been confirmed that the waterborne parasite Cryptosporidium was found in the swimming pool at the Alcudia Pins Hotel. Guests at the Alcudia Pins complained about the state of the hotel pool which some commented as being filthy.

Cryptosporidium can be debilitating causing severe diarrhoea and sickness and is particularly serious in the young, the elderly and those with any immuno-deficiency.

Those affected by the bug are infuriated by the apparent slowness of their Tour Operators in taking action, despite a number of people having complained of the unhealthy state of the pool and the increasing number of those falling ill.

Anyone who has been at the Alcudia Pins Hotel and who is displaying symptoms should seek medical advice immediately.
