Dave was crossing the road one day when he was hit by a car. Dave was knocked down, and sustained severe injuries.

He was admitted to hospital and put on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit. Dave sustained a severe brain injury. He fractured his spine and sustained multiple fractures to his ribs; bones in his leg and arms; and his clavicle.

Dave then developed MRSA after the site around his tracheostomy, helping him to breathe, became infected.

Recovery was slow: Dave remained unresponsive, with only the occasional spontaneous eye movement.

Dave was transferred to a nursing home, and has gradually made progress. He now lives at home, with 24 hour care.

The compensation recovered for Dave will help him to move to more suitable accommodation adapted for his needs, and to pay for the round the clock care he now requires.

Dave is completely paralysed in his arm and leg, and uses a wheelchair to move around.

Specialist personal injury solicitor Lesley Casey has settled Dave's case for a six figure sum.
