Two road traffic accidents in Cornwall at the weekend left two people dead and another seriously injured.

A young man in his twenties from Truro died after being involved in a collision with a car whilst riding on his motorbike.

An accident involving a collision of four cars resulted in the death of another girl - a passenger in one of the cars.

People who had been injured in the accidents were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske.

Meanwhile Police in Tayside launched a road safety drive to reduce speeding, the number of accidents on the roads and the number of deaths caused by road traffic accidents, as well as reducing the number ofserious injuries sustained on the roads.
