Mark accepted a lift home from a nightclub from a friend of a friend. The driver opened the car with the car keys and they set off home. Unbeknown to Mark, the car was stolen. The driver crashed the car and Mark suffered a spinal cord injury resulting in permanent paralysis. The car was insured and following negotiations an agreement was reached in relation to liability. Since then, Alexander Harris have been able to secure interim payments in excess of £900,000 to enable Mark to move into suitable housing and start to rebuild his life whilst the claim is ongoing.
