Specialist Clinical Negligence Solicitor Muiris Lyons stars Photograph of Partner Muiris Lyonsalongside Oscar Nominee in IVF docu-drama.

Muiris Lyons more famous in the legal world for his representation of Natallie Evans in the frozen embryo litigation performs alongside Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo in a forthcoming Channel 4 docu-drama.

'Born with Two Mothers' is a story about an embryo mix-up between a black and a white couple, where an IVF clinic mistakenly uses the black couple's embryos when implanting the white couple. The white couple give birth to a black baby and the black couple apply to the court, where the judge has to decide who has the baby. Also staring Lennie James, the gripping production is provisionally scheduled to be aired on Thursday 21st April at 9.00 p.m. on C4; the programme is expected to draw much interest following the intense storyline and Okonedo's Oscar nomination.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress, for her role as Tatiana Rusesabagina in 'Hotel Rwanda', Okonedo was up against some of Hollywood's most prominent actresses. Narrowly missing out on the prestigious award to Cate Blanchett for her performance in The Aviator the actress remained jubilant at the recognition at 35 years old.

Muiris plays himself in the docu-drama. As a high profile and leading healthcare lawyer he is approached by one of the couples to advise them on their position. He acts for them as they go through a harrowing and emotional court case which culminates in the trial where the judge has to decide the very difficult question of which family the baby should live with. Muiris is becoming a familiar face in the media having appeared on programmes including all the main News programmes, Breakfast with Frost and GMTV. 'Born with Two Mothers' is the third documentary Muiris has participated in. The first was "Battle for a Baby", an hour long documentary on the Natallie Evans "frozen embryo" case which formed part of the Cutting Edge series on Channel 4 screened in October 2003. More recently, he participated in the Tonight with Trevor McDonald ITV documentary dealing with the "baby Luke right to life" case concerning Luke Winston-Jones in which Muiris was also instructed.
