Serious Neck injury

A man has been awarded £1m compensation in by the High Court. after his life was wrecked when he was hit by a sun lounger which was blown off a pub roof.

The freak accident occurred in October 2002 when John MacMaster was standing outside The Crown in London Road, Romford, Essex.

Mr Justice Openshaw heard in London that Mr. MacMaster suffered a very serious neck injury which caused a depressive psychosis, causing him to be extremely paranoid and suspicious of anyone.

The judge approved the compensation award against the pub owners.
