Doris was out with her family. On the way back to the car she slipped on some ice in the car park and fell.

Doris sustained a severe ankle fracture. She now has significant mobility difficulties; she is unable to walk without the aid of two walking aids. She also suffers from pain and discomfort in her ankle and leg.

Prior to the accident Doris led an active and independent life. Since her fall, her family have had to provide a significant amount of care for Doris.
