Human Error is Blamed for a Cruise Ship Sinking
Human error is reportedly to blame for the sinking of a 22,412-tonne Louis Cruise Liner ship off Santorini.

The sea diamond was carrying over 1,500 passengers and crew on Easter Friday when it hit a reef close to the island last Thursday. It went down early the following morning.
The ship was carrying 730 Americans, 112 Spaniards, 100 French and many other nationalities including Britons, Germans and Australians. Two French passengers are still missing.
While ships are now technologically very advanced, the human factor can still cause accidents.
Head of the cruise line's operations department, Giorgos Koubanas, believes that the accident was caused due to human error. He does not know who ordered the ship to sail in that direction, but said that when the ship's voyage data recorder is recovered, it should provide some answers.
