Client Steven Phillips sips a pint outside his local pub in Portrush, Northern Ireland. He sent us the photograph for
publication on our website and in the Reporter suggesting the headline for this news piece.
Steven raises his glass to the firm and Partner Lindsay Wise who settled his clinical negligence case.
In the absence of negligence Steven would have fully recovered from the injuries he sustained.
The nerves in his right ankle were damaged in an operation and he experienced excruciating pain and numbness in the bottom of his foot and toes afterwards.
After five years of enduring the intolerable pain and disability he underwent an elective below the knee amputation of his right leg. Steven has made wonderful progress. With a prosthetic limb he is now more mobile than he was before his amputation.
He has moved back to Northern Ireland with his family who are all now happily settled.
