Andy was dining at a restaurant during a visit to see his friends in Switzerland.
Nearby and unknown to him, a car had been stolen by a Swiss youth who was also under the influence of alcohol. The under-aged and uninsured driver lost control of the car and crashed it into the restaurant. The stolen car ploughed through the restaurant window and struck Andy, fracturing his spine.
Andy originally approached his local solicitor as he did not appreciate the complexities of his case and the legal implications of foreign jurisdiction. Andy's original solicitor soon realised that they did not have the necessary expertise to assist Andy and referred the case to Alexander Harris' Foreign Claims Team, renowned for litigating overseas.
The firm are now pursuing a claim for Andy and the team is in contact with the Swiss Police and the insurers of the vehicle owner.
